Rubber Rollers — Redi Rollers

Star Glo specializes in close tolerance, functionally critical rubber rollers that other manufacturers find difficult to produce. A full time staff chemist is available to help determine the best material for your application.

Every roller Star Glo manufactures consistently exhibits rubber tearing bond strength. Star Glo degreases every insert and shaft in a state-of-the-art, non aqueous, degreasing system thereby ensuring contamination free metal inserts. Each primer is carefully selected and matched to the specific polymer being vulcanized to the substrate.

All rollers are high pressure injection molded on the most modern machinery in the industry. Vulcanizing using this process allows us to offer a limitless range of thermoset and/or thermoplastic polymers designed to provide maximum service for any application. Rollers can be ground in a broad range of surface finishes and diameter runouts are held to within .001".

Elastomer Selection Guide:

The comparative properties listed in this selection guide are intended to help designers and users of rubber products to make preliminary choices of material. Final selections should be based on tests using samples of the elastomers chosen. The tests should simulate the actual service conditions expected, and samples should be properly compounded to optimize the particular properties desired.

As a supplier, Star-Glo can enhance these polymers in specific respects, with minimal sacrifice in other properties, to meet your requirements.

The quantitative values shown in this guide represent normally available compounds, not special formulations. Likewise, the qualitative evaluations are subject to some revisions if specific compounding methods are employed.

The information is a guide only. It will be most valuable when supplemented by Star-Glo's know-how and your own pre-service testing.
